Career

Trona Balkissoon is Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Strategy Lead for Nestlé Professional. She oversees Finance, Strategy, M&A and the Business System Support functions in the USA. Trona has a strong passion for winning and building talent within the organization.

Trona’s has over 25 years’ experience with Nestlé in both CPG Retail and Foodservice. In 1997, Trona joined the Nestlé Canadian business at the headquarters in Toronto, Canada. She held progressive leadership positions in Financial Planning & Analysis, Credit & Collections, and lastly as Vice President Finance for the Frozen Division at Nestlé Canada Inc.

In 2014, she transferred to the Nestlé World Headquarters in Vevey, Switzerland as the Global Chief Financial Officer for the Confectionery Strategic Business Unit. In 2016, Trona moved to Nestlé Singapore as the Chief Financial Officer and later as the Regional Chief Financial Officer for Nestlé Professional Foodservices in Asia, Oceania and Africa. In 2018, she transferred to Nestlé USA in her current position as SVP, CFO & Strategy Lead for our largest Foodservice market globally.

Education

Trona holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with a Minor in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management and is a Chartered Public Accountant.

Other

Trona is a dynamic, agile, and passionate member of the Foodservice community and is proud to lead Nestlé Professional’s partnership with the Women’s Foodservice Forum. Trona was appointed to the WFF Board of Directors this year and is honored to be supporting the mission to accelerate the advancement of women leadership within the foodservice industry. Trona also leads our partnership and collaboration with the NRAEF ProStart and participated as a Management judge at NPSI in 2022 and will be judging again in 2023 along with volunteering to help select the 2023 class of NRAEF’s scholarship recipients. At a local level, Trona is an active OHIO ORAEF ProStart Committee Member hosting the 1st Annual Mac & Cheese ProStart Student competition this past February. Additionally, Trona is also a member of the IFMA President’s Conference Committee and Go-To-Market (GTM) Planning Program Committee for which this past November she was the recipient of the 2022 IFMA Sparkplug Award.
